Overview
Dinidorids are a cosmopolitan family of robust bugs, found mostly in the Oriental and Afrotropical regions of the world.
The Dinidoridae are phytophagous (plant feeding) bugs that have been recorded from plants of the families Cucurbitaceae, Theaceae, Poaceae and Rutaceae.
Distribution
The Australian fauna contains both of the recognised subfamiles, Dinidorinae and Megymeninae, 4 tribes, 4 genera and 6 species. None of the Australian fauna is endemic.
