Overview
The Henicocoridae were considered until recently to be a subfamily of the Lygaeidae. We have followed the revision by Henry (1997) and recognised them at family rank.
Henicocorids are found in the cool temperate rainforest of south-eastern New South Wales and Victoria where they are litter inhabiting. Little else is known of their biology.
Distribution
There is a single recorded species,
Henicocoris monteithi
, found only in Australia.
