Apteropanorpidae

Overview

Apteropanorpa tasmanica , is wholly wingless and superficially resembles subapterous Boreidae of the northern continents. Like the boreids, it occurs in mossy habitats, and adults may be found on snow. Adults have been collected at high elevations in Tas., in May and September. Evans (1942) described from moss an eruciform larva that is probably of this species.
